Q | What are the criteria to apply for SVMCM scholarship? |
A | Yearly family income not more than Rs. 2,50,000 (Income criteria is not applicable for K3) Must be a domicile of West Bengal secured at least 60% marks in the last qualifying examination with no year gap (For School and Under Graduate applicants) secured at least 53% marks in Honours subjects at the Graduation level in General Education and Graduation level and at least 55% marks in Engineering courses with no year gap (For PG applicants) secured at least 45% marks at Graduation level in Science/Arts/Commerce stream with no year gap. (For K3 applicants) |
Q | Why am I not able to apply for Renewal application process though I have valid SVMCM Applicant Id and Password? |
A | Only the sanctioned applicants of previous year are eligible to apply for Renewal. |
Q | Where to apply renewal application of minority candidates from? |
A | Minority students may apply from https://www.wbmdfcscholarship.org/ |
Q | How to retrieve the forgotten Applicant Id/Password? |
A | Link to retrieve Forgot Applicant Id or Password is given on the login pop up. |
Q | Why am I getting the message, "Sorry! Invalid Last Exam Roll No. entered" at the time of registration? |
A | If a candidate with qualifying exam board is either WBBSE or WBCHSE or Madrasa or ICSE or ISE or WBSCT&VE&SD (for Lateral) enters wrong roll no. for last qualifying examination or the roll no in wrong format, only then shows the aforementioned alert. |
Q | Why am I getting the message, "Applicant name not matched with Board Data. Please enter name as per entered in board data." at the time of registration? |
A | If an applicant with qualifying exam board is either WBBSE or WBCHSE or Madrasa or ICSE or ISE or WBSCT&VE&SD (for Lateral) enters his/her name which does not match with board data, only then shows the aforementioned alert. |
Q | Why am I getting the message, "Please enter valid password using password policy" at the time of registration? |
A | Applicant must follow the password policy while entering the password. Password Policy: Password must contain an uppercase alphabet Password must contain a lowercase alphabet Password must contain a numeric character Password must contain a special character (@#$^*_) Password must be of at least 8 characters. |
Q | What is the file format and size to maintain while uploading the photo and signature? |
A | Photo and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format and size should be in between 20-50KB and 10-20KB respectively. |
Q | What is file format and size to maintain while uploading the documents? |
A | Documents should be in PDF format and size should not exceed 400KB. |
Q | Why am I not able to edit the Application Form? |
A | If the applicant Submits the application then he/she will not able to edit the application anymore. | Q | Why system is showing "Application is not submitted" after finalizing the application? |
A | After submission of all the forms, applicant needs to click the Submit Application button to submit the application. |
Q | What if an applicant applies under wrong directorate? |
A | If final verification of the application from directorate end is not done then the applicant can delete the application from Cancel Application option, given on the dashboard and the applicant may have the option for fresh application again.. |
Q | What if an applicant selects wrong course/institution while applying? |
A | Applicant may request the helpdesk so that they can provide the option to change present course of study or applicant may cancel the application. |
Q | What if an applicant enters any other wrong information? |
A | If an applicant enters wrong data while registration then he/she can cancel the application by "Cancel Application" option else if he/she enters any wrong data in application form or document upload form then he/she can edit and update the details from Edit Application option. The Edit option will remain available until the profile is submitted. The Cancel/Delete Application will be available until the application is verified from directorate end. (Delete application is not applicable for renewal applicants) |
